Experienced and Qualified Staff

We maintain a core staff year-round and every one of our work teams is led by an experienced supervisor. All our staff are enhanced DBS checked, and as we operate a strict uniform policy, they are instantly recognisable. Operators are fully trained and qualified by Lantra awards in the use of machinery and equipment and NPTC for spraying. Our Team Leaders have recently completed an NVQ Qualification in Team Leading.

Taking Health and Safety Seriously

Working to NEBOSH standards, we take health and safety very seriously. All our team supervisors are health and safety trained and hold First Aid at Work Certificates. In February 2010 we were awarded accreditation with CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety).  Two Managers are accredited with the NEBOSH General Certificate.  Our Team Leaders have qualficiations in the safe use of ladders ensuring that all of the tasks we carry out on site are done safely under a strict health and safety policy.

Looking out for the Environment

All collected grass clippings are recycled for compost. Cropper are certified by CIWEM (Chartered Institute of Water and Environment Management) for our practical implementation of environmental management. We do not use aerosols for tarmac marking but have invested in airless spraying systems, utilising lead-free, non-toxic water-based paint.

Down to Earth Approach to Sky High Quality Standards

Quality operating procedures are in place and are worked to for every one of our services, in compliance with ISO 9001 standards. Our contracts managers regularly visit customers to meet face-to-face and ensure you are nothing short of completely satisfied in the appearance of the grounds we maintain. We are never more than a phone call away and operate a call logging system with 24 hour call back guaranteed, and no call is closed without the remedial action being completed – it’s all part of our continuous improvement approach. BSI Management audit each and every process and check that the right equipment, qualifications and specifications are adopted for each and every customer contract.  We have built an in house database for storing and recording all job sheets and quotes issued allowing us to make sure all jobs get sorted,  this also reduces our environmental impact as all information is stored electronically over a paperbased system.

Apprenticeships

We are now heading towards and entering our third year of partnering with PM Training whereby we have taken apprentices for the past two years.  This partnership has seen four apprentices join our company in 2014 as we are looking to continue this support.  We can therefore continue to offer apprentices with the experience and opportunities they require whilst improving their skills and supporting them through qualifications e.g. PA1 and PA6 Spraying courses or mini digger courses.
